Hannas schlafende Hunde
The film adaptation of the autobiographical novel by Wels writer Elisabeth Escher tells the story of post-war society in Wels. Nine-year-old Hanna, ‘disguised’ by her parents as a good Catholic, discovers her Jewish identity and is helped by her grandmother to deal with it confidently against all odds.
‘...Because it is an important film, of great social relevance, I accepted the offer of a role. It's everyone's business, I'm convinced that it will move and move many people.’
Hannelore Elsner, leading actress
‘Hannelore Elsner is an event.’
