Hamlet
Kenneth Branagh is responsible for directing and writing the screenplay for this monumental Shakespeare adaptation, and also plays the lead role of the Danish prince Hamlet. When Hamlet learns of his father's death and his mother Gertrude's marriage to his uncle Claudius, the ghost of his dead father appears to him, telling him of his murder and demanding revenge. Hamlet must decide to avenge his father, but in doing so loses his beloved Ophelia, his family, and his kingdom.
