Joschi, a deserter, and Florian, a young boy who has lost his mother during the escape, fight their way through the turmoil of the last days of the war together. Their destination: Vienna ... A cosy mixture of comedy and drama, contemporary references and ‘eternal’ themes, which finds the middle ground of minimal audience resistance with almost somnambulistic certainty.
