Godzilla Minus One

Japan, 1945: Shortly after the end of the Second World War, kamikaze pilot Koichi Shishima fakes technical problems with his aeroplane and lands on the island of Odo. Here he encounters the giant lizard Godzilla for the first time, who razes the entire island to the ground.

Two years later, Shishima has returned to Tokyo, where he has a wife and child. At the same time, reports are circulating that Godzilla, mutated by nuclear tests in the Bikini Atoll, has destroyed several US warships and is already on its way to Japan...

The most famous film monster of all time raged in cinemas for the first time almost 69 years ago. With GODZILLA MINUS ONE, Toho presents its 33rd film in the series and kicks off the celebrations leading up to the 70th anniversary with a loud roar!
