Gender Madness
Cowgirl Rowdy Ann lives up to her name: whether with a Colt, a lasso or her fists, the male world is unsafe around her. Her parents therefore send her to college to learn how to behave like a lady – with far-reaching consequences. In SHE'S A PRINCE, a young woman wants to join a secret society for women – after a furious initiation ritual, she has to prove herself as a man. Finally, we end up in an imagined 2026 – from the perspective of 100 years earlier: when men become more like women and women more like men. While husband Claudia looks after the house, wife Billie, a successful businesswoman, flirts with others. Feminist futurism penned by Stan Laurel, among others – but a misplaced blackface ‘gag’ seems more contemporary.
