France at the end of the 19th century. The extraordinary chef Eugénie (Juliette Binoche) has been working for the famous gourmet Dodin (Benoît Magimel) for 20 years.
Together with him, Eugénie creates the most delicious dishes that amaze even the world's most legendary chefs. Over the years, their time together in the kitchen and their passion for cooking has grown into much more than just a love of food.
