Frühling auf dem Eis
Because ice dancer Eva is more popular with the public than his diva-like wife Alida, revue boss Gordon cuts off the aspiring young artist and anyone who takes her side. Out of necessity, Eva and her friend, the radio reporter Haller, decide to put on their own revue from scratch - as a cost-saving alternative to the pomp and splendour of their capitalist rivals ... FRÜHLING AUF DEM EIS not only captivates with great choreography in rich Agfacolor - it is also the second Austrian colour film ever (the parallels to DAS KIND DER DONAU are unmistakable) and the only one in which Eva Pawlik (Olympic silver medallist in 1948 and European champion in 1949), a world-class Austrian figure skater, appears in front of the camera for the first and last time.
