Forever Young
Paris, late 1980s: For a handful of young men and women, a dream comes true when they are accepted at the renowned theatre school "Théâtre des Amandiers". Under the direction of the brilliant and idiosyncratic director Patrice Chéreau (Louis Garrel), the group of students is to stage Chekhov's "Platonov". Between intoxicating party excesses, passionate love turmoil and intensive rehearsal work, the young eleven grow together. Obsessed by the fear of letting her own youth slip away, the talented Stella (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) also throws herself into the wild and unpredictable life that the world of acting has in store for her. New friendships are made, the first great love ignites. A new era has dawned and all doors seem to be open to Stella. But on and off stage, the border between play and reality becomes increasingly permeable. Stella soon has to face the truth: Her youthful recklessness is temporary and the clock is ticking incessantly. The irrepressible acting troupe is on a collision course with the harsh reality of adult life, which first imperceptibly and then finally thrusts itself into the limelight with full force.
