Ruth Beckermann spent three years filming pupils at a so-called ‘hotspot school’ in Vienna's 10th district, and in particular their teacher, who organises the lessons with patience, commitment and heart. Bigger challenges than the multiplication tables are bureaucracy, a lack of structures and a lack of staff ... An emotional and complex inventory of our present based on the school system, which looks cautiously optimistic towards the future in the most beautiful moments - and thus an ideal final film.
