Fallen

Five women meet again after 14 years at a funeral. At first, the former friends sniff each other cautiously, hardly revealing anything about their lives. There is the committed teacher, the successful actress, the fun-loving civil servant, the unemployed heavily pregnant woman and finally the prison inmate on the loose. After the death, the increasingly sentimental women in their early thirties stumble their way through a wedding, causing strife between the bride and groom before ending up together at a country disco. Only gradually are old hatchets unearthed, bills are settled, masks fall and mascara drips, reality is compared with abandoned dreams and ideals.
