Explanation for Everything
Ábel is more interested in a fellow pupil than in his A-levels. When he is asked to take an oral exam, he is speechless. In order to start a conversation, Ábel's history teacher Jakab asks him for his political pin, but Ábel remains silent and fails the exam. Ábel presents the mark to his nationalist father György as a politically motivated act by his liberal teacher. Things escalate quickly. A career-minded journalist turns the story into a national issue and the truth is drowned in a flood of prejudice and ignorance.
