Expanded Shorts Moving Tales

The seven selected animated short films open up new dimensions of emotional experience - in keeping with the genre. These stories address human vulnerability, the search for identity and the search for connection in an increasingly fragmented society. Loneliness is reflected in a digital world (music video Displaced Love), while in a dystopian reality with contact bans, refuge and unfulfilled desires are offered in a labyrinthine hotel (Matta & Matto). Moving Tales tells of the intimate moment between a woman and a hen who develop a deep connection despite being physically separated (Chicken) and the reality of a young woman looking for a home (Camping). In a virtual game for children, the boundaries of fantasy and reality merge in a risky way (Playground), while a woman searches for answers in her inner garden of healing after a sexual assault (Gardening). Two other women - one a caregiver, the other in need of care - are trapped in the limbo of waiting, while everyday objects come to life (Nothing Special). The animated stories show intimate moments in which longings and fears become visible.
