Exodus 91 – The Untold Story of Operation Salomon
When Asher Naim came to Ethiopia as a diplomat for Israel in 1990. Jews had been settled there for 3,000 years and now found themselves in a country in serious turmoil, between famine, dictatorship and civil war, until their lives were finally in danger. As rebels approached the capital, Naim managed to negotiate a large-scale escape of almost 14,500 Ethiopian Jews via an airlift to Israel, saving a huge community. Israel once again demonstrated a fundamental principle of its existence: not to abandon any Jew. A film between authentic stories and excitingly staged feature film scenes.
