Elefant

22-year-old Bartek runs a small farm in the Polish mountains. Ever since his father ran away, he has been the head of the family and has to be there for his mother. He only feels free when he can spend time with his beloved horses. But when the long-lost son of a neighbor, Dawid, returns to the village one day, Bartek's everyday life, which is dominated by fulfilling his duties, is thrown into disarray. He has to choose between a life for the family and his increasingly strong feelings for Dawid.

Inspired by films such as "God's Own Country" and "Brokeback Mountain", "Elephant" tells the story of a young gay man's first love and self-discovery in the midst of a harsh but breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Director Kamil Krawczycki shot the film at original locations in his home country at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. A passionate film that inspires courage and hope.
