El Gran Campeón
On 1 September 1929, at the age of 16, but possibly only 13, Luis Villanueva Páramo entered a boxing ring for the first time as an amateur for an official fight, which he lost on points. By the time he won his 255th and last fight by knockout on 3 February 1961, he had matured into a worldwide boxing legend known as Kid Azteca. In his 18th professional year, Villanueva plays himself on the big screen so that all his fans, who would never be able to buy a ticket to a boxing match, can admire his style and stamina. The crime story surrounding the documentary core is in turn extra pulpy - to the delight of the audience.
