El desencanto

Probably the most influential Spanish documentary of all time. Interviews with the widow and children of the official Franco poet Leopoldo Panero, revealing family relationships full of pretense and hypocrisy. And at the same time a reflection of a rotten dictatorship in its inexorable decline. Through the film, its title DESENCANTO (disenchantment) becomes a term that characterizes the transitional era of an entire society. (Maria Giovanna Vagenas)
