Eine musikalische Geschichte

Taxi driver Petya's singing talent inspires a retired music teacher so much that he places him as a tenor at the Leningrad Opera. Petya's girlfriend, taxi radio operator Klava, feels neglected, but realises her true love when she hears the now opera star singing on the radio. Vienna-born Rappaport, formerly assistant to G. W. Pabst, is rightly regarded as the inventor of the Soviet tenor film. (Brigitte Mayr)
