Ein Herz aus Gold

Based on the novel by Edna Ferber, director titan Robert Wise films a gripping female story about a vegetable farmer at the beginning of the 20th century in the USA who, despite her family worries, pursues her goals straightforwardly and does not let them get her down. Jane Wyman, who embodied strong women in several Hollywood melodramas in the early 1950s, is convincing in the leading role.
