When a loyal police dog and his human partner are injured together in the line of duty, they become the panting hero Dog Man! Half dog, half human, he swears to protect the city - and to always sit down and put his foot down.
While Dog Man is still finding his new identity and trying to impress his boss, he has to stop the purring supervillain Petey the Cat. His plan to clone himself so that he can strike twice only works to a limited extent, as his infinitely cute kitty clone Little Petey unexpectedly befriends Dog Man. When Little Petey finally falls into the paws of a common enemy, the cat-and-dog game takes a surprising turn, and Dog Man and Petey reluctantly team up to save the kitten in a frantic race against time.
