Looking behind the door means focussing our gaze on this place, the house, to find out how it can represent the people who live there and be the mirror of their interiority. Eighteen portraits - taken in their everyday lives, at home and beyond - show how the place of belonging, whether by origin, choice or the simple randomness of life, can be an indicator of the personal relationship that each person has with the world, with others, but above all with themselves.
