Somewhere in the East Styrian pampas there is (actually) a surreal work of art: the world machine. To save it from destruction, the widow of a painter travels to New York, where she tries to raise the necessary small change to preserve it. Her previously hidden talent is discovered by a trendy gallery ... An enigmatic and fairytale-like film that deals with the significance of modern art in many different ways and gives Erni Mangold some of her most beautiful, free moments in front of the camera between skyscrapers and the hustle and bustle of the big city.
