Big, bigger, biggest seems to be the motto when it comes to competition between two circus companies. When a gangster sabotages performances, everything is at stake. Like the plot, the production of this film was also pompous. It featured stars of the 1950s (Mature, Fleming, Price, Lorre), huge sets, Technicolor and Cinemascope. A last gasp of classic Hollywood cinema in the face of the small TV screen.
