Die Unsichtbaren – Wir wollen leben

Goebbels declared the Reich capital Berlin "judenrein" ("clean of Jews") in 1943. And yet some Jews managed to go into hiding and survive the Shoah as submariners. Four of these contemporary witnesses are brought in front of the camera and tell their personal stories, supplemented by exciting feature film scenes. They escape from the Gestapo and hide, always in fear of being discovered, denounced and deported. But there are also helpers who put up resistance and risk their own lives by providing shelter, transportation or food. A touching and instructive film - and a particular stroke of luck for didactic and educational purposes.
