29 January 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A 6-year-old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza and pleads for rescue. While trying to keep her on the phone, they do everything they can to send an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.
The new film by Kaouther Ben Hania (Olfa's Daughters) was ‘the film of the hour’ (Der Standard) at the Venice Film Festival. THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB was celebrated after its premiere with a record-breaking 23-minute standing ovation and was awarded the Grand Jury Prize. The feature film, based on real telephone recordings of a real case, is now considered a major Oscar favourite.
