An extreme heatwave is scorching the land, destroying crops, killing livestock and drying up water sources. The people are suffering from this drought, but the mythical Rain Queen seems to be asleep. Young Andrees wants to end this suffering. With the help of his mother, a shepherd, and his great love Maren, he wants to find and wake the Rain Queen. A beautiful, fantastic fairy tale based on the story by Theodor Storm.
