At first, Baron Christian falls madly in love with the sweet Prater cashier Mizzi, but then falls for the enigmatic dancer Valette, who always appears wearing a golden face mask - under which she hides a secret. DIE PRATERMIZZI is a crime, detective and horror film all in one. This Viennese love story conceived by Walter Reisch is an abysmal expedition into the ‘mysterious depths’ of the human soul.
