Die Nachtmeerfahrt

Photo model Lilly feels her stubble growing from one day to the next. Afraid of being rejected by the outside world and losing her assignments, she initially tries to hide her new appearance. However, after her lover reacts with incomprehension, she begins to drift through the Viennese night as a man - because that is what she is perceived to be. On this sometimes gloomy journey, the concept of a binary division between femininity and masculinity increasingly loses its significance. Kitty Kino's second feature film is a plea to soften and rethink normative gender boundaries, including a dose of camp.
