Die Müßiggänger

Alberto, Fausto, Leopoldo, Moraldo and Riccardo are "vitelloni", idlers who are killing time in a small provincial town, being kept by their parents and waiting for the big chance.

In the meantime, they play billiards, chat at length about representatives of the opposite sex and get bored. When Fausto's girlfriend Sandra gets pregnant, he marries her and takes a job. He soon loses both his job and his wife because he turns back to his friends. Only Moraldo suffers from his own laziness and leaves town to start over.
