Die Hochbahnkatastrophe
What begins as a pleasant climbing trip turns into a nightmare for the management of an above-ground and underground company: ‘The invisible power’ threatens to flood the railway. Since the board of directors does not meet their demands, the criminal gang resorts to drastic measures. In the ensuing panic, detective Harry Hill is called in to help. In his hunt for the criminals, he is assisted by Alice, the director's daughter, who proves her courage more than once: ‘A rope was stretched across a 50-metre-wide and 200-metre-deep gorge, and Marga Lindt climbed across it. The tremendous depth effect of this image has a particularly strong appeal.’ (Lichtbild Bühne, No. 32).
