Die geschützten Männer
A novel and deadly virus that exclusively affects men is spreading rapidly. When the Chancellor also falls victim to the pathogen, a radical feminist party temporarily takes over the government… A political satire based on a dystopian novel by Robert Merle.
Germany, just before the election. Anita Martinelli and Sarah Bedford are pursuing major political goals with their women’s party. They advocate for systemic change, ecology, equality, and sustainability. But during the campaign, a mysterious virus breaks out — one that affects only men. The symptoms: sexual frenzy, assaults on women, and sudden death in a state of extreme arousal. A full-blown gender war soon erupts. When even the Chancellor succumbs to the disease, the women seize control of Parliament and declare an interim government.
The question arises: Would it be better to simply let men die out? Or should a vaccine be developed after all?
Not a radical feminist vision of the future, but a provocative satire that fully explores the “what if” scenario.
