Bringing children’s toys to life—who hasn’t dreamed of that? Carpenter Giuseppe is one of them, and one day he carves a wooden puppet that comes alive. The joy, however, is short-lived, as the puppet Burattino is curious and eager to discover the world. Before setting out, he receives a little golden key from a tortoise, meant for a mysterious door that must be found… A very beautiful animated film based on a short story by Alexei Tolstoy.
