This programme examines the circulation of gazes, gestures, emotions and fluids between filming and filmed bodies, between film and screen. ‘Sometimes they border on thresholds of perception and enable the dissolution of the senses desired by Rimbaud,’ wrote art critic Michel Nuridsany about V. W. Vitesse Women by Claudine Eizykman. The works, most of which are by female filmmakers, pave the way for other modes of perception in which instinct and desire intermingle, inviting viewers to physically experience the ecstatic impulses of the images.
