KOTTAN goes cinema: The managing director of a planning company, the chairwoman of the supervisory board and the head of the district benefit from land speculation in the course of the construction of a huge residential and leisure centre. The trio is joined by the dodgy Kralicek and the insurance fraudster Haumer, who is driven by thoughts of revenge against the speculators. To get rid of the ‘problem’ Haumer, a contract killer from San Francisco is hired - while an investigative journalist and Inspector Kottan investigate ... The satire and slapstick of the series give way to melancholy undertones, bitter sarcasm and an ingenious plot set against the backdrop of a country rocked by political scandals.
