Thelma's son Louis is hit by a car while skating and falls into a coma. The doctors give her little hope. But Thelma is determined to save Louis by realising the "things you should do before the end of the world" for him. Louis has written his teenage dreams in his diary. She hopes that he will wake up from his coma when she tells him about it. Thelma sets off on an incredible journey across the world, which unexpectedly gives her own life a new meaning. She is determined to awaken her son with the power of dreams and words.
