The first year of peace in Bosnia, people against the backdrop of a war that is not yet really over: it is about a possible and in many cases no longer possible coexistence, the big and small changes that have happened in this year. Geyrhalter does not attempt to give political explanations about the cause and course of the war, but rather to document a momentary state of affairs. In long, uncommented interview passages and planned sequences, viewers are given time to get to know the people portrayed and form their own opinions.
