Das Ereignis

1963, France. Anne, a young student, becomes pregnant after a brief affair that has no future. She has made the lonely decision to have an abortion. With a child, Anne's wish for a self-determined future as a writer would be impossible: she would not even be able to complete her studies.

At this time, however, it is not easy for a young woman to assert her right to an abortion. The doctors, who are more or less sympathetic to Anne, invoke the law and offer the young woman no help whatsoever. In her deep distress and under the time pressure of nature, Annie leaves no stone unturned to realise her goal - even if it means gambling with her health and her life.
