Das bucklige Pferdchen

The three sons of a farmer go to their wheat field in the evening and find the grain trampled down. Ivan, the youngest, walks along the rain to discover the culprit, while his brothers sleep, contrary to their promise to keep watch. A wondrous horse appears to the boy, roaming through the wheat, which he tries to catch. As Ivan shows no fear, the wondrous animal promises him a reward. He receives two splendid horses and a third, which has two humps and drooping ears, but is capable of magic.

The film is based on the fairy tale of the same name by Pyotr Yershov.
