Cyborg Generation & Ender’s Line (Vorfilm)
Cyborg Generation opens up an unusual perspective on the topic of human rights. The experimental documentary follows 18-year-old musician Kai, who has a cybernetic organ implanted in order to experience new dimensions of perception. Kai, who sees himself as a cyborg, is able to hear seismic signals from space on Earth, thereby expanding the boundaries of the human. The film touches on themes such as queerness, identity and self-expression, and impressively questions what it means to be human.
Supporting film: Ender's Line (Gabriele Biasi, IT 2023, 15min).
This experimental documentary combines archive footage of space exploration with the personal archive of protagonist Fernanda Gonzalez, who leaves her loved ones behind in Buenos Aires.
