Crazy Rich Asiens

The story follows Rachel Chu, a native New Yorker, as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend Nick Young to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Rachel is thrilled about her first trip to Asia, but she’s anxious about meeting Nick’s family. Completely unprepared, she discovers several details about Nick’s life that he had kept from her: it turns out that he is not only the heir to one of the richest families in the country but also one of the most eligible bachelors.

By simply showing up at Nick’s side, Rachel immediately becomes the target of jealous members of high society. And what’s even worse: Nick’s own mother disapproves of Rachel and makes her discontent known. It soon becomes clear that while money can’t buy love—it definitely makes it a lot more complicated.
