Ten cases—now even twelve. Why are young, healthy patients who came to Boston Memorial Hospital for minor procedures suddenly ending up in intensive care? Dr. Susan Wheeler is determined to find out.
Geneviève Bujold plays Susan Wheeler, who in her search for clues crawls through air ducts and hides among the dead in the morgue. Along the way, she uncovers the sinister Jefferson Institute. Eventually, she also convinces her skeptical friend and fellow doctor Mark—played by Michael Douglas—that she is not suffering from paranoia.
