Clashing Differences
A dramedy about diversity, feminism and political correctness: the participation of the "House of Womxn" association in the upcoming women's conference is in doubt because the panel is not sufficiently diverse. Without further ado, a black woman, a queer person, a woman with a disability and women of colour are invited to a remote clubhouse in Brandenburg to prepare for the conference. With a humorous and ironic perspective, the director offers insights into feminist and identity-political debates in her award-winning graduation film.
Director Merle Grimme has developed an anti-discriminatory and inclusive production concept especially for this film project and she pleads for more courage to be angry. "CLASHING DIFFERENCES was born out of an acute urgency. The urgency of being able to tell our stories and perspectives in a self-determined way." (Merle Grimme).
