María Ángeles (Carmen Maura), 79 years old, has lived for decades in the Spanish quarter of Tangier. Her apartment on Calle Málaga, filled with memories, flowers, and old pieces of furniture, is far more than just a home to her. From her balcony, she watches the bustling life of the streets, where past and present blend into one another.
When her daughter Clara (Marta Etura) decides to sell the apartment, María Ángeles is faced with a life-changing turning point. Moving into a nursing home is out of the question for her. With ingenuity and unwavering determination, she does everything she can to hold on to her beloved four walls. Unexpectedly, her resistance opens the door to new encounters, rekindles her zest for life, and even brings back a love long thought lost.
