Call Me Mule
John Sears, self-proclaimed as 'Mule', has been wandering the American West with his three mules for over three decades. The 65-year-old lives exclusively outdoors, advocating for the right to free movement and a simpler life in harmony with nature. However, his unconventional lifestyle often clashes with authorities, leading to fines, arrests, and even psychiatric confinement. This documentary follows Mule on a grueling 500-mile journey to deliver a message to the Governor of California. A quiet, poignant film about a man living for freedom and gently resisting the constraints and absurd laws imposed by 'civilized' society.
