Bravo, Burkina!

Aimé grows up in a picturesque village in Burkina Faso. After a dispute, the boy runs away, wades into a body of water, and emerges as an adult man in an Italian village from a well. There, he settles down, finds work, and love. However, memories of his childhood village haunt him, prompting him to search for a way to return and regain what he once lost. A magical tale of love and migration, arrival and departure, homecoming and alienation unfolds.

Walé Oyéjidé's feature film debut, "BRAVO, BURKINA!," premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023 and also opened the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) in 2023.
