In mafia circles, it's better to pay your debts, otherwise you face severe torture. Violet's (Jennifer Tilly) boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano) knows a thing or two about this because he works for organised crime. One day, two million US dollars belonging to the mafia, for which Caesar is responsible, are found in his flat. The large amount of money arouses Violet's desires, who has only recently met Corky (Gina Gershon). The two women have a lesbian relationship - and a plan to simply steal the millions. Violet is betting that the mafia will take revenge on Caesar for the lost money and that she can disappear with Corky. But the two women's endeavour only runs smoothly in theory, the reality is somewhat different...
