A group of young people go on a trip to the Texan prairie, while the weather forecast announces atmospheric disturbances that are not without consequences for the human psyche. As the kids rest at a seemingly abandoned mansion, they are attacked, kidnapped or murdered one after the other by members of a local butcher's family. Only one of the five travellers manages to escape at the last second.
