Blum – Masters of Their Own Destiny

After World War II, entrepreneur Emerik Blum founded the globally successful company Energoinvest in devastated rural Bosnia. He developed the company with a globally unique business model based on worker participation in management and profit distribution. Although this democratic model worked extremely well, it has largely been forgotten today. Through interviews with contemporaries who knew Blum, his workers, and archive footage of him, the film paints a portrait of a brilliant man and tells the story of a special time.
