Blow Up
Antonioni: "I always distrust everything that I see, everything that a picture shows me, because I imagine what is behind it. And you can't know what's behind a picture." Somewhat bored, fashion photographer Thomas wanders the streets of Swinging London with his camera, secretly photographing a couple in the park. In his darkroom, he discovers that he may have witnessed a murder. But the search for clues proves to be a pointless detective game ... Cinema begins where imagination and reality merge: BLOW-UP is a pop-colored, rousing journey through time that explores the visual power of the medium of film in all its facets, but only encounters the emptiness and falseness of the images - which proves it to be timelessly topical.
