A firework display of extravagance for all those who love ‘Deep Throat’ and ‘Singin’ in the Rain’! Over many years, the Amero brothers created their favourite project: a queer porn homage to the golden era of the MGM musical. The rise of the Kane sisters, who make it from a bar in Wyoming to Broadway thanks to a swapped heirloom, provides the basis for unforgettable moments the likes of which were never to be seen again in the ‘Golden Age of Porn’. A kaleidoscopic shower number, flat ice skating artistry as foreplay or gone-with-the-wind sets that fall prey to brilliantly choreographed destruction are just a few of the highlights. Cinematographer Findlay lets the cast shine like lighthouses from a parallel cinema dimension in her images inspired by Technicolour Hollywood. (Alexander Schultz)
