The vision of Los Angeles in 2019: a city of the future with monstrous architecture and slums, a radioactively contaminated environment, constant rain and smog, overpopulation, high technology and small snack bars, with perfect androids and mountains of rubbish on the streets. Ex-policeman Rick Deckard is given the task of tracking down and liquidating four highly developed replicants.
Ridley Scott's (ALIEN, GLADIATOR) mixture of film noir, science fiction and cop movie shaped the development of the genre. The visual design and atmospheric density of the film remain unsurpassed to this day. Accompanied by the iconic soundtrack by Vangelis, Blade Runner became the most influential sci-fi film of the 1980s.
